3D Media is a certified woman and veteran-owned small business founded on the idea of creating better training for all through VR/AR technology.
After experiencing the loss of a colleague and friend in an energy plant, founder Daryl Roy knew there was a better way to comprehensively educate workers. In the wake of the injury of over 100+ other co-workers, he realized these errors were not just rare occurrences, but instead part of a larger flawed training model. Our mission is to reduce this risk and help organizations build an agile and adaptive workforce via scalable VR/AR training solutions.
Today, 3D Media is revolutionizing talent and workforce development, creating safer training environments, and increasing trainee retention versus traditional instruction by over 75 percent. At our core, we believe everyone deserves to make it home to their families, every day.
Our AR experiences overlay the world around us, providing unparalleled – and lifesaving – information to employees, decreasing incidents, and improving training and development practices. Through SBIR Phase I, II, III contracts with the United States Air Force, 3D Media built solutions that increase efficiency, reduce accidents, and create a better workflow in high-risk environments.
With our VR experiences, workers are transported to an entirely new world where they can safely – and effectively – undergo complex, high-risk, and high-impact training with no fear of impact to real-world safety, cost, or training effectiveness. In partnership with Louisiana Economic Development and United Vision Logistics, 3D Media has built simulations that have saved time, money, and lives.

Trevor Britton
Director of Marketing & Creative
Trevor Britton is a 3D Animation Specialist, Brand Strategist and Creative Content Producer at 3D Media, based out of Huntsville, Alabama. With a background spanning both the arts and sciences, Trevor’s interdisciplinary approach to every project provides innovative, creative solutions to even the biggest roadblocks. In his free time, you can find him researching the latest marketing trends or geeking out on great design. Fun Fact: In 2014, he directed a short film that debuted at the Sidewalk Film Festival in Birmingham, Alabama.
WAYNE DAIGLE
CTO
Wayne is a 3D generalist and interactive media specialist focused on creating digital content for visualization, simulation, marketing and training. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from University of New Orleans, translating those skills to software development for AR/VR, business applications and IT support. As Chief Technology Officer and a founding member of 3D Media, he has bolstered the implementation of cutting-edge technology and best practices across the organization. On weekends, he enjoys creating and 3D printing new designs, relaxing with his family and building computers.
DANIEL FISHER
Software Developer
Daniel Fisher is a Senior Software Developer, specializing in Unity3D and C# at 3D Media. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Game Design from Full Sail University, along with acquiring 14 certifications across the development cycle. For the past 9 years, he has been developing independent games across 2D, 3D, VR and AR applications, publishing 12+ projects as part of his portfolio. As a huge pop culture buff, you can find him watching the latest films and playing the newest video games, especially if they include super heroes!
ZACKARY GREEN
Project Manager
Zack is Project Manager leading AR/VR projects at 3D Media, working alongside graphic artists and developers to create meaningful simulations that improve workflow processes. He graduated from Lamar University in 2017, and has a demonstrated background working in Oil and Gas, managing capital projects for ExxonMobile. In his own words, Zack has a “passion for technology,” which he applies to every project, including his current project: building a backend focused software solution for AR simulations to replace paper documentation with new technology. Outside of fishing and playing his favorite game, Call of Duty Warzone, you can find Zack hanging out with his 2-year-old, Zoey, who is “the best,” running around, learning words and generally amusing and bringing joy to him and his wife.
Stephen Jackson
Cybersecurity Technician
Stephen Jackon is Software Engineer experienced in bringing the bleeding edge of virtual reality video games into a business facing environment. His strengths lie in problem-solving extreme demands for computing performance as well as complying with strict time lines. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of New Orleans, and has translated his knowledge into creating utilizing library structures to promote the re-use of existing solutions.
JALESA JONES
Owner, CAO
Jalesa is an experienced Chief Administrative Officer with a demonstrated history of working in information technology and the service industry. She obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Management from the B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration, University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2015 with high honors. She has integrated her skills from previous roles in the energy sector to support 3D Media’s founding and high-level development, overseeing contracts, grants, human resources and financial management. Professionally, she sees to foster life long learning and become a thought leader for women in technology. Outside of work, you can find her herding her two cats, reading, listening to podcasts and traveling. Fun Fact: She can read Korean and also is a twin!

Lance Jones is an Electrical Specialist with a background in the energy and technology industries. Skilled in computer repair, cybersecurity, consumer electronics, and employee wellness, he has adapted his wide range of skills to founding 3D Media as a collaborative workplace for all. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Land and Resource Management at University of Louisiana in 2015. In his free time, he enjoys working on his cars, growing deadly pepper plants, collecting gadgets and herding his 2 quirky cats alongside his wife, Jalesa.
ANGELA LABORDE
People & Processes Coordinator
Angela serves as the Human Resources Coordinator for 3D Media. Angela holds a Master of Science in Human Resource and Leadership Development and a Bachelor of Arts in History, both from Louisiana State University (LSU). Prior to joining 3D Media, Angela worked in several fields, most recently in the administration offices for an education based nonprofit and higher education advancement organization. When she’s not sending out holiday color sheets to the team, you can usually find Angela reading, running, spending time with family, or looking up new recipes.
NICHOLAS LABORDE
Director of Organizational Development
Nick serves as the Executive Producer for 3D Media. He holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (ULL). Before joining 3D Media, Nicholas spent time in journalism, economic development, foodservice, ecommerce, software development, and entrepreneurship, starting two different companies along the way. Nick spends his time gaming (the Halo series is his favorite), writing, reading, and tending to his very opinionated Shiba Inu rescue.
JON MACASKILL
Director of Business Development
Jon Macaskill is a retired Navy SEAL Commander. Jon served for 24 years leading teams on and off the battlefield. He developed strong DoD and Interagency connections and culminated his career as the Director of Innovation for the Navy Reserve. Jon leads 3D Media’s Business Development and Client relationship building.
GREGORY MANNING
Project Manager
Gregory is a Product/Project Manager at 3D Media and a Retired USAF Armament Specialist. With 20 years of military experience in electrical, armament, management, and leading teams, he has translated his experience into leading developers, designers, modelers through AR/VR projects. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business with Summa Cum Laude Honors, along with a certification in project management.
RAHKEIM MCCOY
Software Developer
Rahkeim is a Full Sail University gradate with a Bachelor of Science in Game Design. He has specialized in working with the Unity Engine, Unreal Engine 4, Perforce, along with intermediate skills in 3D software such as Maya, Blender and Pro builder. One of his favorite challenges is producing “proof of concepts” along with grey-boxing for level design and 3D assets. Outside of developing, you can find him seeking out all things werewolves, as he admits it is his “biggest obsession” outside of video games.
Natalie Perez
Director of Software Engineering
Natalie Perez is a Software Engineer at 3D Media, focused on the Maintenance Augmented Reality System (MARS) project. She is an educated professional graduating Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with minors in psychology and communications from Florida International University. She is Microsoft certified in Azure and also has certificates of completion focused in computer science from Harvard’s CS50xMiami, WebDev, and Microsoft’s Programming in C#. Natalie enjoys giving back to the community and helping other creators learn and expand their knowledge by participating in code camps, workshops, and hackathons.
AARON PETRIKIN
Associate Project Manager
Aaron Petrikin is a Project Manager and Producer at 3D Media, assisting a wide variety of projects and internal workflows to completion. With a background in both Philosophy and Psychology, Aaron approaches every challenge with a well-rounded, comprehensive solution, from addressing human factors to creatively solving technical roadblocks. He has honed his ability to adapt his skill sets, rising to the occasion through his experience working across industries, lending key insight into end-user organizational training and communication. In his free time, you can find him reading the latest copy of the newspaper, which he actually still purchases in print! Fun Fact: At one point in time, he was also a stellar track and field Pole Vaulter.
JORDAN PILOLA
Software Developer
Jordan Pilola is a Developer at 3D Media with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Houston – Clear Lake, earned in December 2020. His experience includes developing several games in the Unity engine as part of personal projects. This laid the foundation for his launch into Virtual Reality development, including contributing key elements to 3D Media’s IronDev team, leading them to victory as “Most Innovative Solution” at I/ITSEC 2021.

Daryl is a US Army Veteran and Energy Professional based out of Thibodaux, Louisiana. He founded 3D Media with the vision of building better training for all after experiencing the loss of a colleague due to insufficient training. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from Nicholls State University in 2009, where he continues to contribute to institutional advancement. In his own words, he is “helping leaders make better decisions by connecting people, processes, and data with VR and AR.” Outside of work, he can be found spending time with his children and wife, Megan, and traveling to his favorite European country, Croatia.
MEGAN ROY
Owner, President
Megan Roy is an Administrative Professional with a proven track record in strategic development, operations and financial services. Her alma maters are Hahnville High School and Nicholls State University. In founding 3D Media, she has played in integral role in providing administrative support and leading the organization as a woman-owned business. From putting together proposals to developing new business relationships, Megan has adapted her skills to provide the best logistical outcomes to each phase of growth. She hopes to be a great leader, inspiring girls and young women to accomplish all that they set their mind too. Outside of work, you can find her spending time with her family and friends, hiking, horseback riding and traveling. Fun Fact: She has some mad dance skills, so be careful challenging her to a dance off!
LANEY VELAZQUEZ
Marketing & Event Coordinator
Laney Mae Velazquez is a Digital Marketing Specialist dedicated to crafting effective social media campaigns, implementing brand identities, and providing professional photography and videography services. She earned her Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies in Business, Public Administration & Urban Planning from the University of New Orleans in 2019 with Cum Laude honors. Outside of work, she can be found at a museum with her girlfriend, cycling all the best trails Florida has to offer, or spending the day at the beach.
